Brett was born in the central west town of Mudgee, home of famous Australian actress, Jennifer Cluff ,on the 12th November 1986. He is the only child of Wayne & Cheryl Joseph, and attends Mudgee High School, where he studies Drama as an elective. Brett's debut was as a lighting technician for Mudgee Performing Arts Society's "The Mikado" in 2000. The following year he played a sailor in "Anything Goes". The same year proved successful for Brett, when the announcement came that film director Bill Bennett was heading to Mudgee to make the film The Nugget (2002) . He decided to give film biz ago and successfully applied for a role in "The Nugget".Earlier on in the year Brett wrote, directed, edited, produced and acted in his own short film "Stilletto" which was premiered in Mudgee and involved a lot of his school mates and friends of the family.Finally, he applied for an extra's job in the T.V series Home & Away and was successful with his application. He hopes to become an Australian actor and follow in the footsteps of his idols Charles Tingwell & Stephen Curry .
