Kahlil Joseph is whom you picture when you think of the multicultural actor. He is a performer whose looks, dialects and experience make him an extremely unique and interesting individual who brings to life a large variety of different characters, both on screen and stage. Having lived in and visited plenty of different countries - America, England, Canada, Australia, India, Malaysia, and so on, he brings a very large and knowledgable dynamic to his work, thus making him a delight to work with.Kahlil was a working actor in a recurring role on a prime-time TV drama in India in 1999, after having earned a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Delhi, India. He also acted in several lead roles on stage in New Delhi, and was the lead singer of various heavy-metal and hard rock bands. Yet, he also sings classically operatic show tunes. Furthermore, Kahlil has been studying the martial arts since the age of 11, and used to compete in kickboxing tournaments in India. He was also a champion speaker in debate contests.Kahlil always wanted to work in the U.S. as an actor. So after a lot of thinking, he gave up his TV career (on the verge of film) and left India for America. Armed with a new battle plan for his acting career, he started pursuing a second B.A., this time in Communication Arts (with concentrations in Theatre and Broadcasting) in West Virginia. Kahlil felt that training in acting in the U.S. would enable him to enhance his knowledge of the arts and show business here from another perspective.While in the States, Kahlil worked as an actor professionally both on stage and film. The feature film that he starred in, Far From India, is now garnering praise on the film festival circuit, and is already available to buy at www.frederickfilms.com.Kahlil wanted to earn the ultimately highest degree of training the actor can get, and finally got into the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles' (UCLA's) School of Theater, Film & Television, after auditioning against hundreds of hopefuls, to pursue his Master of Fine Arts in Acting.Kahlil looks constantly for new challenges to test the wide arena of skills and interests that he maintains. He loves children, animals, good debates, and is a lot of fun to be around.
