Galina Jovovich / Biography

Galina Loginova was born in 1950 in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, Soviet Union. In 1968, in Moscow she enrolled in VGIK (Soviet State Institute of Cinematography). In 1972 Loginova graduated from VGIK as an actress, from the master-class of V. Belokurov. She worked on stage as well as in film. Her most notable works in the Soviet Unoin were in Teni ischezayut v polden (1971) (TV series), Mnogo shuma iz nichego (1973) (aka...Much ado about nothing). In Kiev, on December 17th of 1975 Galina Loginova-Jovovich gave birth to Milla Jovovich (father - Bogdanovich 'Bogich' Jovovich). In 1980 Galina, together with her family, emigrated to Sacramento, California, United States.
