Alan Rowe Kelly / Biography

Began artistic career as a make up artist / hair stylist in Manhattan's fashion/commercial industry. Spent years behind the camera styling photo shoots for fashion magazines, TV commercials and info-mercials before switching to a writing career and signing with a literary agent. Has co-authored a book with his mother, Charlotte Kelly, called Wharton (Arcadia Press), a historical biography on the small northwest New Jersey mining town where they were both born and raised. But penning novels soon became secondary to writing screenplays for horror movies, which has lead to a directing / acting career.
