Vanessa Marano started acting in the theater when she was seven years old. She has done numerous plays at The Stage Door Theater. She started acting professionally when she started doing national commercials. She has guest-starred in television shows such as "Six Feet Under", "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Grounded For Life". Her first film was the commercially successful, "Finding Nemo". Her second film was the independent film, "Easy" and her most recent film, was the starring role in Christopher Reeve's film, "The Brooke Ellison Story" where she played Brooke as a quadriplegic. She has been on the hit television show, "Without A Trace" as a recurring character, Hanna, playing Emmy-award winning actor, Anthony LaPaglia's daughter. She was a series regular on the HBO comedy,The "Comeback" playing Lisa Kudrow's step-daughter, Franchesca, and recently, she just booked a recurring role on her favorite television show, "Gilmore Girls" playing April Nardini, Scott Patterson's (Luke's) daughter.Vanessa likes playing tennis and dancing. She enjoys school, playing the piano and painting.
