According to All Music Guide's biography of Ziggy Marley, he was born in 1968, and his real name is David. He was nicknamed "Ziggy" some time in the seventies, because he was a big fan of David Bowie (ala Ziggy Stardust). Bowie also mentions Bob Marley (Ziggy's father) in "Tumble and Twirl" on his "Tonight" album.
Formed a band with Stephen, Sharon and Cedella Marley called The Melody Makers
