Okan Bayulgen was born in March 23, 1964 in Istanbul, Turkey. He is son of a lawyer father and a painter mother. He studied at one of the best high schools of Istanbul - "Galatasaray High", then he moved to France and studied photography there. In 1984 he studied economics in Tours University for a year and came back to Turkey. As he came back, he joined Mimar Sinan University/Conservatory Dept. to study art and he graduated from there.He started his career as an actor also a director at the State Theatres in 1989. He took parts in the American TV series "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" (1992) while it was filmed in Istanbul. He worked at Kent FM as a radio programmer. In 1994 he departed from the State Theatres and created his own late-night TV show named "the Night Bird" (Gece Kusu) in 1995 which brought him fame. He moved to Radio Contact from Kent FM and in 1996 he appeared on TV again with a different title of a new late-night TV show; "the Television Kid" (Televizyon Cocugu).He took part in Mustafa Altioklar's movie which was called Istanbul kanatlarimin altinda (1996) in 1996 and went on acting in films and TV series locally.Later on, he continued with his late-night TV show with a different title again that went like "ZAGA" this time.Right now he's operating his "Television Machine" (Televizyon Makinasi), the recent late-night TV show of his, the latest seed of his own creativity.He is known for his clever and cynical expressions, his obscure and stable outlook and his impressive, dark voice.He dubs for TV commercials and many famous animation movies of Hollywood that are being screened in Turkey. He has various awards from universities, corporations, and etc.
