Kanani, like her older brother Blade, was almost literally "born in a theatre trunk". Her grandfather, Herb Rogers, was a well-known theatre producer who produced over 500 large-scale professional Equity shows. Her father, Scott Rogers is a successful acting coach for film and television and her mother, Jeanne Rogers (aka Jean Bardwell) is a New York actress and drama teacher, trained by legendary acting teacher Sanford Meisner. Kanani was watching professional theatre from backstage before she could talk and knew at a young age that she would somehow be involved in the family business. Kanani has appeared in the movie "Paradise Dreams" as well as the hit TV show "LOST" on ABC and the pilot for the series "Hawaii" on NBC. She has also had many roles on stage, such as the munchkin school teacher in "The Wizard of Oz" and as a singer and dancer in "The Jim Nabors Christmas Show". Kanani has also done commercials, voice-overs, and industrials for companies like Neiman Marcus, Hilton, and others. Kanani studies Jazz, ballet, hula, and tap dancing in addition to voice. She trains in acting at the Academy of Film & Television where she studies on-camera acting and scene study.
