Mazio Royster / Biography

He was named after the horn player in James Brown's Band, Maceo Parker. Has a fraternal twin brother, Marcus.
Mazio was a standout tailback for the USC Trojans. He became the third sophomore in the history of the school to run for over 1,000 yards in a single season.
Played three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL. Was the first runningback selected in the expansion draft (1995) by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Performed all the football stunts for Bill Bellamy's character (Jimmy Sanderson) in the Oliver Stone directed film "Any Given Sunday".
Pronounces his name with a long A (mays-ee-oh).
Graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration.
Opted to forgo his senior year at USC and turn pro as an underclassman.
