George Marshall Ruge / Biography

Born in San Francisco, studied theatre arts and acting at San Francisco State University and the American Conservatory Theatre while finding work as an actor in numerous Bay Area theatre, film and television productions. This was followed by a stint in New York as a founding member of the ensemble Loft Theatre Group, which produced several original theatre productions, before arriving in Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television. Since then, Mr. Ruge has enjoyed a long, varied and ongoing career as an actor, writer, stunt coordinator, 2nd unit director and director in numerous feature film, episodic television, and documentary productions. Mr. Ruge is the past recipient of the Bank of America Award for Acting, the San Francisco Drama Circle Critics Award for Best Actor in a dramatic play, the Stuntman's Award for Best Fight Sequence in a Motion Picture, and has served two elected terms as the President of the Stuntmen's Association of Motion Pictures.
