Roger was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 13, 1968. He moved around a lot as a child before settling for a time in Minnesota where he stayed until after his graduation from Anoka High School in 1987. He pursued music and sports as a young man and did not decide to pursue his life long dream of acting until age 30. With the support of his wife Shawna, Roger began to study and audition for everything he could. He landed roles at his first 4 auditions including one in the middle of a fast food restaurant. He had many small roles in independent films and his first leading role was a short film called Snap (2002) where he played a loner named Frank Chandler, who had almost no lines. But he was given an excellent review for his performance. In 2003 he moved to Los Angeles. In his first year Roger booked a co-starring role on The Bernie Mac Show, the independent feature Junkyard Willie, Lost In Transit and was featured in the February, 2004 issue of Men's Fitness Magazine in the annual article "The Fattest City In America". In 2005, Roger has had a recurring role in promotional spots on Spike TV promoting CSI including a 6 spot series for Spike TV's You Solve The Crime Game which aired in March, 2005.
