Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Michael Saul began making films at the age of 13 after his father and grandfather, amateur home movie buffs, taught Michael how to use a movie camera and edit film.Michael made a number of dramatic, thoughtful and moody student films in High School which both raised eyebrows and intrigued his teachers and fellow students.In 1983, he began working in the San Francisco Bay area as a video artist, producing a series of experimental videos with beautiful musical accompaniment provided by electronic composer Steven M. Miller, which had success in film festivals around the world.In 1991, he began working in Los Angeles and continued producing short films including "Hover", his erotic, gay, vampire thriller which premiered at Los Angeles OUTFEST and screened at many other film festivals.In 2002 Michael began directing his first feature film "True Love" which was released in 2005. He lives in the Los Angeles area and is working on his next feature film. He is also an accomplished painter and digital artist.
