Yvette Saunders has enjoyed a fruitful career as a modern dancer and choreographer. One of her major clients was Diana Ross and the Supremes on their "Return the Love" which gave her the opportunity to be on the Oprah Winfrey show, when the Supremes were guests. She received a B.F.A. at New York University and has performed with the Atlantic Theater Company and various Off-Broadway theaters around New York City. In film she has starred in various independent feature films including "Angels!, a comedy spoof on the television hit "Charlie's Angels" with a gender twist! She plays the Ghetto- fabulous hero who is the daughter of one of the three Angels. Poetry has always been a strong passion in her life, so when she had the opportunity to be in the Mock-umentary "Poet Head" as a slam poet diva, who gets stuck in "poetry speak world" a place where she is unable to break free, she was thrilled because ironically she had previously been a part of a poetry group called Poets of the Round Table. They were lucky enough to tour around Southern California's colleges and dance club scenes. She has also developed a documentary on the underground world of Spoken Word artists and Los Angeles. She continues to be a writer and actress with "The Shmindrix", a comedy troop based in Los Angeles. Currently her dream is to be involved in more dramatic, period pieces that supports her love of people and history. She is excited about what the world of art will bring!
