Wouter Vincent Smit was born in the city of Geleen in the south of the Netherlands, but at the age of 2 his parents moved to Lisse after his father was offered a leading job in the petrochemical industry. Unfortunately, they divorced when he was five, which resulted in his return to the area of Geleen together with his sister, when his mother decided to live in Neerbeek which is also the South of the Neteherlands. Somehow Wouter could not get used to the surroundings and he mostly spent his time playing guitar and reading, unlike his friends that liked football and sports. At age 12, he got the leading role in the musical "The suitcase of mr. van Dalen". It was then that he knew he liked performing. Playing guitar in several punk and, later on, hard rockbands and touring, he developed his musical and songwriting skills. Turning 17, Wouter left his mother to live on his own in the city of Haarlem near to Amsterdam. Working in several sales management positions, he also used his acting skills to be a very convincing salesman. He also raised his education degree to Higher (HBO) level by doing several management studies. Having a growing interest in everything that's about movies, he started doing drama with some friends and started as an extra in movies and television series, such as "Baantjer" (1995) and _"Onderweg naar morgen" (1993)_ to get more experience in this field. Wouter's aim is to be a professional actor in television and movie productions.
