Allison Smith's career started at the age of nine in the Broadway musical "Evita" and was quickly followed by landing the starring title role as Little Orphan Annie on broadway in the musical "Annie" at the age of ten. She was the longest running and youngest person to ever star in a Broadway musical at that time. She has spent all of it's 5 seasons on NBC's "The West Wing" in the recurring role of "Mallory Obrien', and in May 2004, will be seen in the CBS miniseries "Helter Skelter" in which she portrays real life Manson murderess Patricia Krenwinkle. She has starred in television series; CBS' "Buddy Faro", ABC's "Spy Game", CBS' "Kate and Allie"(for six seasons).Lead in Independent features; "At First Sight", "A Reason To Believe", and supporting roles in such features as "Holes", "How To Make An American Quilt", "Switchback". Her Theatre work continues starring in the LA premiere production of David Mamets "Oleanna", "QED" opposite Alan Alda at the Mark Taper Forum, and working with Randy Newman on his musical "The Education of Randy Newman" at South Coast Rep. for which her vocal performance got rave reviews. She was born in New York City and grew up in Bergen County New Jersey.
