Ann O'Day Maples Professor of the Arts at Stanford University.
Recipient of MacArthur Foundation "genius" grant. [18 June 1996]
Has had parts in Dave (1993) and The American President (1995), as well as a recurring role on "West Wing, The" (1999). All three are primarily set in the White House.
Was nominated for two 1994 Tony Awards: as Best Actress (Play) and Author of Best Play nominee, "Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992."
