Jason Matthew Smith, grew up all over the mid-west, at one time living on a pig farm along with his 3 older siblings and his parents, John and June. He finally settled in Cincinnati for his high school and college years and earned a B.F.A. in Acting from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. He continued his studies with Katheryn Gately and Gene Terusso earning his M.F.A. in Acting from Northern Illinois University, and made his way to Los Angeles in January of 2000. Within that next year he hooked up with his agent and his career was on a roll.He is currently working on a new series for ESPN, "Playmakers", in which he portrays the life, off the field as well as on, of linebacker Eric Olczyk. Since playing football for Mariemont High School, Jason has been a big fan of the game and like many fans, dreamed of having the chance to play Pro ball. In many ways, Playmakers is a dream come true. He credits his success to the incredible support and unconditional love he has received from his family, especially his parents, and to his faith in God through whom all things are possible.
