Anneka Svenska is a comedy actress, with a 20 year history in TV, Theatre and Film. Anneka is most famous for her successful Channel 5 cult show outTHERE which ran for 3 years. Anneka wrote and hosted this 'tongue in cheek' show as fictional spoof character 'Eden' - a cyber-babe with the extraordinary power to channel video images.Presently Anneka is writing comedy show for both theatre and TV based around a new outrageous alter-ego comedy character, as well as appearing throughout central London in various comic sketch venues.Anneka has many other projects on the go and has just recently landed a role in the new Carry On London film soon to start filming at Pinewood. Anneka has also been busy filming comedy with Endemol's Zeppotron department, as well as writing and filming her own spoof mockumentary for Granada. The show was based on a very famous US star/stand-up comic and his trip to the UK. Anneka devised and played the up-tight journalist who was stalking the star for a 'prized' interview.Anneka love of theatre started when she trained at the Jackie Palmer Stage School between the age of 4 and 16, where she appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Joseph and The Technicolour Dreamcoat'. Anneka carried on her school education, winning awards for her comedy writing and directing at her local High School. Anneka practiced at this time alongside the `4 Ways' Theatre Group, where she appeared in many local comedy productions. Anneka later went on to graduate with honors in Dance and Drama at De Montford University and then finished her training with a post-graduate diploma from The Guildford School of Acting. Anneka has trained in tap dance, comedy writing, physical theatre, Meisner, Method and stage combat.Anneka's previous credits include: Mrs Grundy in the London Fringe comedy: `The Empire Writes Back', Channel 5's 'outTHERE', feature films 'Still Crazy' and 'The Lost Son', `The Generation Game', TFI Friday, BBC children's `Hero to Zero', EastEnders and The Rory Bremner Show. Anneka has filmed numerous short films and has regular appearances on terrestrial TV.As well as comedy, Anneka has a strong history in presenting and as well as hosting the famous outTHERE movie show on Channel 5, Anneka has presented for Clubavision, at London movie premieres and for various animal charities.
