Engaged to fellow Coronation Street actress Jennifer James (Geena). He studied and graduated from Oxford Drama School - he won a scholarship to get there. [July 2000]
His actress wife Jennifer James gave birth to his first child - a boy named Jack Alexander Boardman in March 2004.
