Mirelly Taylor was born Ruth Mirelly Osuna, in Guadalajara, Mexico as the oldest child of 3 to a single mother. Never staying in one place for too long she left Mexico for Dallas, Texas at the tender age of 11. Mirelly graduated with honors, and her academic achievements allowed her to attend SMU, majoring in cinema and double minoring in psychology and Spanish. She left college during her sophomore year to focus on her real passion, acting. Her strong theatre credits include leading roles in productions such as "Les Miserables", "The Oddysey", "Pillow Talk", "The Spell". Mirelly signed with her first agent at age 18 and was cast by director Reginald Hudlin opposite Elizabeth Hurley and Matthew Perry in Paramount/Mandalay motion picture Serving Sara. Following this role she starred in several critically acclaimed independent films like New Cinema's The Prodigy and award-winning Evenhand opposite Bill Sage. After moving to Los Angeles Mirelly studied with top acting coaches like (award-winning) Ivana Chubbuck, (original groundling) Kip King, Bonnie Allen, Christina Ferra-Gilmore; to name a few. Mirelly has also worked in films such as Hollywood Homicide. Her lead performance in the controversial film Beyond Honor was hailed by critics and audiences alike as powerful and emotionally charged. She recently guest-starred on CBS hit show "Numb3rs" as Lupe Sandoval, a drug smuggling mule that gets kidnapped and rescued in the end. She's very excited on her upcoming film "Kiss Me Again" and has several projects on the horizon.
