Steve Taylor was born in Brawley, California on December 9, 1957, but grew up for most of his childhood near Denver, Colorado. Taylor is best known as an energetic, satirical and often misunderstood Christian Rock star, but is also known for his work as the lead singer of the secular rock band Chagall Guevara, a writer and producer for several Christian music groups, and a director for several music videos done by various bands and artists. His last concert was at Cornerstone 2003, where he announced that film is now going to be his full-time job.
