Vanness was born in Los Angeles California on August 7th 1979. He is an American Born Chinese. He loves to play sports and is very active. He is the best singer out of F4 and the best dancer (he's probably the only one who knows how to dance). He has been singing since he was young, he used hang out with a band called L.A Boyz, a former US Taiwanese boy band. He has also been featured in Run DMC's music video 'It's like that' He has a happy-go personality and is usually seen smiling. He moved to Taiwan at age 18 from America. His father named him after the street they used to live on. He thought it was a nice name and it suited him. His family includes: mother, father, older sister (was in a band), younger brother, and younger sister, Melody. Vanness is now a part of today's biggest boyband in Taiwan and he has also done solo work. Vanness also has a small thing for anime and Japanese comic characters and loves to collect them. He has been in three shows that started out as manga gone anime and finally turned into a TV show, Meteor Garden, Come To My Place and Peach Girl.
