Yuen Wah is another member of the Chinese Opera School from which Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung Kam-Bo and 'Yuen Biao' graduated. According to Jackie Chan's autobiography Yuen Wa is an accomplished martial artist who possessed a skill to mimic and emulate any technique of Martial Arts he was presented with. He was Bruce Lee's stand in for Jing wu men (1972) because they had a similar body type and he was able to copy Bruce Lee's style. Besides Jeet Kune Do, Yuen Wah is well versed in Wu Shu, Hung Gar, Hapkido and Tae Kwon Do. Grew up as a student of Peking Opera master Sifu Yu Jim-Yuen. Was killed three times in Enter the Dragon - each time, he was portraying a different character. Was acknowledged to be one of the most talented acrobat in HK stunt scene. Alongside Lam Ching-Ying and Tung Wai, Yuen Wah is one of the few HK Stuntman to have been initiated to Jeet Kune Do by Bruce Lee.
