By the age of twelve, Yomary had gone from practicing her keyboard at home to singing on stage at Madison Square Garden with the group La Tuna Hispana.After graduating early, she became the youngest student at Fordham University. There she landed her first broadcasting job as a production assistant on CNN's Showbiz Today. Her next step was to try out her new broadcasting skills in her first language: Spanish. Yomary walked right into the offices of New York's WNJU with a demo reel and without an appointment. She walked out with an offer for a full-time Anchoring / Reporting job, which she promptly turned down. Yomary later accepted a freelance position, which gave her the opportunity to have one of her stories selected as best instantaneous coverage by WNJU and the opportunity to continue her education.Yomary learned that she excelled at hard news coverage, but chose to work on the lighter side of broadcasting. She began hosting New Jersey Network's Teen Talent Competition and soon became the producer and correspondent for their bilingual magazine show, Images. There she was spotted and asked to host the Puerto Rican Day Parade. In addition, she covered weather and entertainment on WXTV.Along the way, Yomary discovered her talent for acting. Quite by accident, she found herself at an open call and got a callback. She took the hint and enrolled in acting classes in New York. This led to a recurring role on NBC's Another World and voice over work for major ad campaigns.Yomary has been seen ringside at wrestling matches interviewing celebrities for the nationally syndicated Urban Wrestling Alliance and walking the beat as the host of a reality show called Ultimate Cops and Robbers. She can also be seen showing off her "car expertise" on ESPN/ESPN2's Road Trip to the Auto Shows series.Her original poetry is featured in the books "The Best Poets & Poems of 2004" and "Touch of Tomorrow".
