Sam Froelich is president and co-founder of DownHome Entertainment, a North Carolina-Based film and television production company. With producing partner Lauren Moews of Tonic Films, Froelich produced the films Cabin Fever (2002) and _Briar Patch (2001)_ (aka Killing Edgar). He was executive producer of David Gordon Green's directorial debut George Washington (2000). He has also produced the award-winning documentary The Rough South of Larry Brown (2002), the indy drama _Morningc(2000)_ and the USA Network telepic Above Suspicion (2000). He graduated from The University of Southern California School of Cinema/Television in 1993 with an MFA in Screenwriting and spent several years in television production at Walt Disney (Ellen) and DreamWorks. He resides in Greensboro, North Carolina with his wife Catherine and three children: Jake, Harrison, and Lucy.
