Tania Grier / Biography

Tania was born in Glasgow, Scotland. Her sister Nicola is also an actress. Although they grew up treading the boards and have been on stage together many times, their performance on BBC'S "Holby City" (the popular medical drama) was the first time the girls had worked together on TV, and also the first time they had been cast as sisters!Tania has been working in New York for the past few years, mainly in the Independent Film scene, but also in Off-Broadway theater. It was at the well known Irish Arts Center in New York where she first met directors Jim Sheridan and Nye Heron, with whom she later went on to work in Brian Friels "Lovers" and in the Indie film "Sax & Violins."She now lives between London and New York.
